The Rameldingen bathroom project demonstrates how a modern wellness bathroom can be created through targeted material selection and careful arrangement. The combination of wood, ceramic, and glass creates a warm atmosphere and combines contemporary design with functionality. The bright room design enhances the feeling of spaciousness and comfort in this individually planned bathroom.
Before
The room showed worn tiles with a matte surface that only softly reflected the sparse light. The walls were damp in places, and the plaster partly flaked off, indicating insufficient sealing. The sanitary installations appeared outdated, the fittings had lime deposits, and the surfaces felt rough and porous. The lighting was uneven, casting shadows into the corners and making the room appear cramped. The existing ventilation was inadequate to effectively remove moisture. In this condition, the bathroom was functional but far from meeting the requirements of a comfortable and sustainable living environment.
After
The room now features smooth, carefully plastered walls that remain breathable thanks to a matte, diffusion-open paint, which prevents moisture buildup. The floor is covered with large-format, neutral tiles with a slightly textured surface to ensure slip resistance, while uniform ceiling lighting clearly illuminates the space and reduces shadows. The new sanitary facilities are functionally arranged, with surfaces that are easy to clean and resistant to lime deposits over time. Mechanical ventilation ensures continuous air exchange and prevents moisture accumulation. This creates a bathroom that, through its materials and technical implementation, facilitates daily life and contributes to sustainable living quality.
